There's been a lot of interest in the food, especially from people with hyperactive youngsters! The next formula is done and should be on sale in about 3 weeks, the first ones go on sale this weekend.
I've had some great feedback already so I am hopeful I can build this up by sticking to specialist, niche markets. Time will tell.
A friend sent me an angel charm to bring me luck and look after me. I have named her after my Nanna whom I adored. If it doesn't help I may sue her!
I've had a few comments about my current Dogs Today article about sharing dogs after separation or divorce. Most people don't think it's a good idea, interesting. What do you think?

Bancffosfelen Show
I am judging a dog show today and I will be frightening the competitiors as I have a black eye. Yet another freak accident. One of my Bengal Cats, Tiger, decided to climb the canvass wardrobe next to my bed as I was on the bed watching tv. He isn't a good climber and doesn't normally do it so I think he was just jealous of the others who can climb it at full speed. Half way up he stopped and I looked up at him clinging on and said "silly boy you can't climb up there" at which point he panicked. He leapt off straight onto my face and ran off. He managed to whack my eye and left me with several bleeding scratches the worst of which is on my eyelid. So this morning I have scratches and a black eye. Animals are great, I think I will need vodka medicine.
The weather is foul too so we will get drowned in a windy field in Wales.

SafePets Intelligent Feeding
Ok I've taken the plunge.....
I am launching next week my own food range. I have formulas designed to help more with behaviour and to make it easy for people to understand what they are buying and why.
I am launching next week my own food range. I have formulas designed to help more with behaviour and to make it easy for people to understand what they are buying and why.
Straightforward names, Calm Mix, Sensible Mix to start with.
The first products are aimed at maintenence and hyperactive young dogs. Lower energy levels that the average food in the calm mix but good protein level and source as these are usually the larger breed, growing youngsters.
All the foods are hypoallergenic, free from anything artificial and free from wheat gluten.
Several more in the pipeline but have to start somewhere.
People often know that changing their dog's food can help behaviour but get bad advice like "low protein" and don't know what to buy. So I hope my simple messages will help people to make the best choice.

SafePets Behaviour, new website
The new site has just gone live with the new logo. It will become clear why the logo has changed in about a weeks time when the new business launches. It will all follow a theme.
Siamese are now eating and drinking although not very brave yet poor cats.
Am working very hard, all will be revealed!

Dogs Today Magazine column
I am very chuffed! I have been asked to be one of 4 guest editors for Dogs Today. It means I have my own little column/comment every 4 months with a pic of me!
My new secret project is going well too.
Next week Dog World and Our Dogs are supposed to be using the press release for the SafePets Project and Pet Gazette are doing a 3 page spread!
I enjoy writing and I need to get support from pet owners, so it should all help.
Yesterday I did a bit of a mercy mission for 2 ten year old Siamese. They have lived in a pen for 9 years, little contact, ignored. One is very difficult and will take a lot of work to get him right. They were alive with fleas even 24 hours after frontline. They have had most of their teeth out and I have put them in a great foster home. What a terrible life so far.
Sadly because of commitments, Sarah has decided we cannot take any more Bengal Cats into rescue. It is the right decision at this point and I hope we will return to it in the future. In the meantime we will be supporting the rehomed cats and offering advice to people.
There are still a few Bengals with us needing homes and of course the two Siamese will need a home in the future, so don't forget about us!

Press Releases
Releases for the project have now gone out. I've been contacted by a few Radio stations and magazines, so looks like it will get some coverage. Hopefully more will come forward to ask for posters and start pestering their councils to see why they aren't running the test.
I am working hard on another business idea, news soon, quite excited, it is revolutionary and will help a lot of dogs.

Press Release SafePets Project
At last! A huge thanks to Anna Webb of Paws 4 Thought and to Gary Trotter a fantastic photographer who have made this possible. The full release goes out this week and my hope is dog owners around the UK will read it and start pestering their council to see why they can't take the test and prove how responsibly they behave. Sneak preview of one photo here, dog looks great! He is Zeus, a licensed Police dog with British Transport Police and is a credit to his handler, Gavin Buck. He was impeccably behaved, even in a hot room and it was a pleasure to be able to borrow him.
